Overview: Voters Not Politicians is seeking a highly motivated democracy enthusiast to intern with the leadership team of the campaign. Voters Not Politicians is a nonpartisan, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to passing a state constitutional amendment to end partisan gerrymandering by creating a transparent system that takes politicians and lobbyists out of redistricting, prevents districts from being drawn to favor any party, and putting Michigan citizens in charge through an Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission. The internship will be fast-paced in an ever-changing and developing workplace. This intern will work directly with the Executive Director and Board of Directors of Voters Not Politicians.
Reports To:  Executive Director and Board of Directions 
Projects would include but would not be limited to:
  1. Learning to prepare fundraising call sheets and doing donor research  
  2. Developing a college outreach internship program for the campaign
  3. Preparing and prioritizing agendas and follow-up items based on campaign strategy
  4. Representing the campaign at events and stakeholder meetings
