On the January 2019 Statewide Volunteer Call held on January 27th, VNP leadership discussed several open volunteer roles to fill immediate needs in the organization. Please check the box next to any of the open roles you are interested in. We also need your email address and phone number so we can contact you!
A few frequently asked questions that have come up for these open roles:
Q1. What is the difference between the Issue Townhall roles and the Implementation roles?
A1. ISSUE TOWNHALLS are an immediate need, as we will begin hosting these vents near the end of February. Because of this, we will need separate volunteers who can plan and schedule these events. Townhalls will also cover information about potential next initiatives as well as implementation. We will also be looking for volunteers who are already trained presenters to present at these events. IMPLEMENTATION education sessions will begin later in 2019 and will cover more in-depth information about implementation. These sessions will be more in depth and will require further training for educators and presenters.
Q2. What is the time commitment for each role?
A2. ISSUE TOWNHALL roles are temporary since these events are part of our analysis to determine a potential issue for VNP's next initiative. We may ask you to help with 1 or more Townhall in your community as part of this project. We anticipate that each Townhall will require 5 hours of volunteer commitment for each event. IMPLEMENTATION event sessions will be ongoing. While we expect each Implementation event session to require 5 hours of volunteer commitment per session, we may ask you to help with more than one session. However, these sessions will be spread out during 2019.
Q3. Can I sign up for more than one role?
A3. YES! If you love planning events, feel free to sign up to help us plan upcoming ISSUE TOWNHALLS and IMPLEMENTATION event sessions in the future!
